Simple and Modern Free Crochet Patterns For Fall

Hey everyone! Last week I shared my new Velvet Dreams Circle Scarf pattern, which you all seemed to love! I love it too, and I’m super excited to wear my own once the cooler weather arrives. Here in the Midwest, we don’t always get a real fall, but we do have those days where it’s too warm for a wool scarf and hat, but still nice to have an extra layering piece.

I wanted to share some modern fall crochet patterns that caught my eye. These crochet patterns are all free, and you can find them in this pattern roundup. If you’re looking for a new crochet project to make some simple & modern accessories for fall, read on!

I’m a fan of simple, minimalist accessories that go with everything in my wardrobe. Neutral colors, and either solids or super-subtle patterns and prints, are the name of the game.

Since I make most of my own accessories now, I tend to pick patterns based on the simplicity of the design and how the finished piece will interact with everything else in my closet. (I want everybody to get along! Haha.)

Now that fall is here, and since most of you will start having those cooler temps as the days go by, I figured now would be a great time to share a collection of simple, modern accessory patterns that will help your wardrobe transition into the new season. These gorgeous (and free!) fall crochet patterns are all staple pieces for a cool-weather collection, and all of them are on my ever-growing ‘to make’ list.
