Resources

I’ve made this resource page to easily list my favorite products, tools, and services that I use and love and/or those I know are valuable. This way, you can find all of my recommendations in one easy-to-navigate place. These are great resources for crocheters and fiber artists, so check them out!

Crochet Products I Love

I’m a fan of all different kinds of yarn and other crochet accessories, so it’s almost hard to choose!

One of my favorite yarn brands is Lion Brand. Most crocheters know and love Lion Brand yarns, and I’m one of them! They offer so many different types of yarn, and their products are really good quality for the price. I’ve used Lion Brand yarn ever since I very first started my journey into the world of fiber arts (in fact, it was using Homespun on a loom to make scarves!) and I use their yarn for lots of my projects. Many of my patterns feature Lion Brand yarn as well. Their site has a TON of their yarn that isn’t available in stores, so I would definitely recommend checking out their selection. You can shop through their site here!

Another great brand I love is Darn Good Yarn. They offer unique, eco-friendly yarn and materials that you can’t find in big box stores. I love their commitment to sustainability and reducing waste, and the beautiful products they offer. Seriously, their yarns are magical! If you like to crochet or craft with ethically-produced supplies, or if you like to use special and unique materials for your projects, I would definitely check out Darn Good Yarn. They also offer other fiber arts supplies like yarn bowls and tote bags, looms, hooks and needles, patterns, and more! PS: if you want to dip your toes in, try out their $10 Yarn Club!

My favorite crochet hooks can be found right here. I know you’re probably thinking, “what? Some weird cheapo set from Amazon?” but TRUST me: these are seriously the best crochet hooks I’ve ever used. The set is so extensive that I’ve never needed to buy another size, and the hooks are so smooth and lightweight to hold and use. They fit so well in my hand, and they don’t get slippery like aluminum hooks do. And the zipper case makes it so easy to store them, I don’t have to worry about losing any (unless I’m using one and put it down for just a second, since that’s a whole other story). I love these crochet hooks and recommend them every chance I get!

Saving Money On Yarn

Ebates: Ebates makes it super simple to earn cash back on all your regular online purchases! It’s as easy as clicking on the store you want to shop through (they have stores like Walmart, Amazon, and TONS more) and shopping just like you usually would. Ebates makes a commission for referring you to the site you just shopped from, and they give you a part of that commission as a thank-you for using their service. This is perfect for crafters, since lots of us shop online for our yarn. Ebates has both Michaels and Joann on their site, so that means free cash back on all your yarn purchases! Occasionally, Ebates will also have Daily Deals that allow you to earn extra cash back or use a discount code for a certain store. You can sign up for Ebates here (it’s completely free) and earn a $10 bonus!

Ibotta: Ibotta is another easy way to earn cash back on your regular shopping. You scan your receipts to the mobile app to redeem cash back offers on everything from groceries and home products, to clothes, to monthly subscriptions, and best of all- craft supplies! Ibotta offers cash back on purchases at Joann, so all your yarn stops can earn you cash back. I’ve used Ibotta for years, and I love it & highly recommend it! Swagbucks: Most people are probably familiar with Swagbucks- it’s one of the most popular ways to earn cash back by shopping at your favorite stores. They give you Swag Bucks for shopping through their referral links, which you can then turn into cash and gift cards. You can also take surveys, watch videos, play games, and more! My favorite way to use Swagbucks is by shopping, though. They have Michaels, Joann, Etsy, and tons of other craft stores to choose from! You can sign up for Swagbucks here and get a 300 SB bonus.
